When a good friend of mine approached me and inquired on my assistance in helping her plan her wedding, I was not only flattered but also very anxious. My friend assured me that she did not want to consult the expertise of a wedding planner, and instead thought that I would know more about her. I, nonetheless, took it as an invitation to demonstrate my loyalty and hopefully my honesty in picking and choosing what I thought would be a sincere token of my appreciation to her, in making her wedding a most memorable feat.
My friend, who I shall refer to as Morgana, has always been a woman of refined simplicity in all things in life. Since I was aware of her interest in all aesthetics of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s glamour, I did some research and came upon a wedding car hire company in the Melbourne area which specialized in providing an assortment of automotive vehicles greatly suiting her tastes. Her wedding theme was to be a 1950s Americana styled engagement. Upon conducting further research into the wedding car hire service in Melbourne, I consulted with Morgana and we agreed to visit the facility for further inquiry. After much deliberation and presentation of the automobiles, the agent was able to give Morgana a great wedding package. She chose the 1957 Chevrolet Belair automobile, of which her husband rejoiced upon learning she had picked it. The photograph session in which Morgana, her husband, and even the bride’s maids and grooms men partook, capitulated the essence of what she initially envisioned. The wedding turned out to be an elegant and simplistic affair, but most of all helped to demonstrate my loyalty for Morgana.
When I took a trip to the Amazon forest during the summer of 2010, I had the most exciting time and never wanted to leave. I really enjoyed the trip to the country of Costa Rica, which is in the heart of the Amazon jungle, because of the beautiful scenery, beautiful forest, and beautiful forest animals. The most beautiful animals located in Costa Rica are the sixteen different species of parrots in the jungles and forests of Costa Rica. Here are some of the different types of parrots I was able to see in Costa Rica:
Macaw, who is the most loyal of the parrot species.
Toucan, which is the bird that was a character on my favorite Kellogg’s cereal. Also, the Toucan has a long, colorful, and beautiful beak.
Scarlet Macaw, is the most colorful of the parrots. The Scarlet Macaw parrot feathers are normally red, yellow, and blue in the color.
The Green Parrot, is green all over and has a red beak.
My favorite parrot was the Scarlet Macaw because they are very intelligent, nosy, and love to talk. While in Costa Rica, I spent time at a rescue center which cared for wounded birds. I met and interacted with a Scarlet Macaw that was very intelligent and had a nice conversation with me. The Scarlet Macaw at the rescue center was named Sunshine because she had a bubbly personality and loved to entertain people. I wanted to take Sunshine home with me but I knew I could not because she needed to be in the wild and once healed the rescue center was going to release her back into the wild.
I have been thinking about it. Furniture, that is. As the summer winds down, and decisions are made as to what gets put back, thrown out, wrapped up or left out, it occurred to me that not all outdoor furniture is created equal. Some sets of outdoor furniture are quite fortunate. Like those that have been bought into families who provide shelter in the form of a pool house during the winter months to complement the well-manicured lawns they adorn from May to September. These sets are held in the same high esteem and given the same amount of thought and care as their brothers and sisters living indoors, in the dining and family rooms.
For other sets, like mine, outdoor furniture provides standard seating for summer barbecues, banquets, and family gatherings. But it does so much more. It sticks with you during the cold winter months as a symbol of hope even after nor easters and blizzards bury it under foot after foot of snow. While the shape of your picnic table and lawn chairs are obscured and even hidden beneath heaping piles of the white stuff, leaving barely a silhouette of the summer that was, it doesn’t complain. My outdoor furniture provides me with the inspiration to grit my teeth and keep going when the going gets tough. If an inanimate object made out of compressed glue, sawdust, and a few other pieces I never attached thanks to the poorly written instructions can take whatever life throws at it, so can I.
I recently went on a trip to Darlington, South Carolina for my family reunion. I had a fantastic time but the motel I stayed in for the first night was the worst place to stay. My husband selected the motel from a website that provided one with information on cheap motels or hotels to stay in while on vacation. I should not have allowed my husband to select the motel we stayed in while in South Carolina because we should have just stayed at the normal hotel we usually stay in while in South Carolina. The motel looked very nice on the website and seemed to be a good place to stay for the price, but pictures can be very deceiving. The motel we stayed at for the night of our vacation was a pure nightmare.
The motel that my husband selected for us to stay in during our time in South Carolina was really too good to be true. First of all, the pool that was described on the website was nothing like that in person. The pool was outside of the motel and not on the inside of the motel as stated on the website. The pool was very small, had murky and dirty water, and looked like it had not been cleaned in 100 years. The rooms were very small, musty smelling, and were not well kept. The beds had dirty sheets, dirty linen, and old blankets on them.
We had no choice but to stay in the motel room for the night because we did not make it to South Carolina until 1:00 a.m. Bright and early in the morning, my family and I left the motel and checked into another motel that was much better than that one. My husband will never be allowed to select our accommodations for any other vacations. If I were a millionaire, I would have bought that motel, tore it down, and built a better one in its place.
When you are getting ready to have a special event, one thing that you will want to think about getting for your special day is a Limo. Limo Hire Melbourne has limos for every occasion. When you are going to rent a limo from Limo Hire Melbourne, they have two packages that you can choose from, Gold or Platinum, each come with different options for your event.
The Gold package is the cheaper choice and comes with less but it will still make your special day memorable. This package comes with two bottles of champagne, wedding chocolates, soft drinks and spring water, nibbles, and the interior of the limo is decorated with flowers and tulle. This is more than enough to make any event special.
The Platinum package is a little more extravagant than the Gold package but sometimes you might want something a little more festive for your big day. It comes with everything in the Gold package plus more. This package gives you a red carpet, so you can make an entrance to your event. It also comes with a cheese and cracker platter, napkins to match your bridesmaid’s dresses, just married flags, a banner that has the bride and grooms name on it and a midnight return from the event to home or a hotel.
When you are going to pick what package is right for you, you have to think of what the rental is for, the Gold package is perfect for a dance or a night on the town, while Platinum is more of a wedding package.
Unlike President Barak Obama’s frequent vacation outings at Martha’s Vineyard, I was able to schedule a vacation by agreeing on the allotment of vacation days through my employer. This time around, I decided to visit a rural setting in the country. The country cottage styled getaway has always appealed to me and so I could not have chosen a more perfect location than situated in the heartland area of the United States of America, which for the time being would be the state of South Dakota.
While on vacation at a nice quiet and quant area just miles outside of the state’s capital, I took it upon myself to try my hand at a game of golf. Now, just to state for the record, I am not, nor do I claim to be a golfing expert. As a matter of fact, prior to my trying my hand at a game of golf in South Dakota, I did not even consider playing the game. So, in the spirit of learning and trying out new territory, I convened with a group of people, also staying within relative distance from my form of residence, for a day at the golf course.
We all chipped in and rented a large golf cart which comfortably seated the eight of us. The company trusted me to drive, so I drove us the 25 minutes or so journey to the golf course. In all my life, I can only begin to mention the twists and turns which had brought me to that particular situation. As a matter of fact, I can honestly say that I do not quite vividly remember the game of golf, as much as I remember and enjoy recounting the smoothness of the drive in the golf cart. As strange and peculiar as this may seem, if there were a national showcase or sport of riding golf carts, I would most especially enjoy partaking in this area of sport. When our day at the golf course had come to an end, and I drove the company back to the rental facility, I did not mention to inquire on the golf cart’s make, model, or manufacturer, as I instinctively knew that the other members of the company already noticed my eager insistence at being the designated driver all throughout that day. So much so, that, they told me repeatedly on our way back home that I did not once leave the golf cart to play a hand at golf!
You better hurry down to the market and fetch some flour for tonight’s supper, said the kitchen maid to the young boy. She took some money out of her front apron pocket and handed the boy his hat. The boy held out his hand to receive the money before placing the hat on his head. He walked out the backdoor and steadied himself on a bicycle and peddled off down the road. Now, this scenario would have worked in the time period setting of the early 19th and 20th centuries, as seen demonstrated before in countless films over the years, but today, if that boy would of have had the access of a go kart, then he would have surely been able to fetch the flour in no time! I should know, for I have an off the road styled go-kart, which inevitably makes traveling to and from places a breeze in the literal sense.
Having grown up in the confines of a rural community, traveling to and from the nearest town for amenities and supplies was always a must in my house. Adding to this, the fact that I was the eldest son of two farmers, who worked the land, just as their predecessors had done, made it my responsibility to, not only look after the rest of my siblings, but to make frequent trips to the nearest town for the list of needed household supplies. For my fifteenth birthday, I was given a makeshift off the road go-kart, which was constructed with the help of my uncles. It was here that I learned the joys of riding in a go kart, and vowed one day, with enough hard work from the sweat of my brow, to purchase one of the newer models available for purchase in the sporting goods store. Fast forward some fifteen years, and I am now giving the gift of a go-kart to one of my sons.
If anyone had ever cared to mention the name caravan parks, one would receive the answer in the form of the question of: What about them? Naturally, the question proposed, would be of a response to those residing in the geographic locations of northern regions in Europe, such as in the United Kingdom and Oceania. But, to propose such words to a person residing in the geographic location, of say, the northern region of America, would be met with the response of what amusement park does this pertain to. Caravan parks are the equivalent, if there were any, of the trailer parks in the United States of America. Moreover, I would include to this the motel industry, just to achieve a level of equilibrium balance. In the similar fashion of the motel industry, the caravan parks are also held up for sale.
A lot of caravan parks, which also seems to call to mind the decorative caravans held by the Romani tribe, as well as an enchantment of The Doors song Spanish Caravan, can bring in business, if, and only if, the persons in charge of the maintenance of the lot, can establish and reinforce a set of required guidelines, or rules in which those occupying the caravan parks must live by. This too, can often get out of hand, and in such cases, the erosion of one caravan can lead to the entire lot quickly gaining speed in their destruction as well. As a person who has dealt greatly over the years with caravan parks, I would most certainly advise you, the future prospective buyer or just the interested reader in such affairs, to take heed in standing your ground. For the ultimate fight will lead to a richer and successful venture in the continuance of the establishment of the caravan parks.
There are two things that most people know about themselves, their zodiac sign and their birthstone. Birthstones are gemstones in a different color that are assigned to a different month depending on what month you were born. Each month has a special color and it is a symbol of good luck and health, January’s birthstone is Garnet, February is Amethyst, March is Aquamarine, April is Diamond, May is Emerald, June is Pearl, July is Ruby, August is Peridot, September is Sapphire, October is Opal, November is Topaz, and December is Turquoise.
These gemstones go back to the breastplate that Aaron wore, which is described in the book of Exodus in the Bible. It had twelve gemstones that represented each one of the tribes in Israel. There were four rows on the breastplate, Sardius, Topaz, and Caruncle on the first row, Emerald, Sapphire, and Diamond on the second, Ligure, Agate, and Amethyst, and on the last row was Beryl, Onyx, and Jasper.
The modern birthstones were traced to eighteenth century Poland, when Jewish gem traders started to sell them with the corresponding birth month of the buyer. It wasn’t until about 1912, when Jewelers of America assigned the gemstones colors for the corresponding month that we know today. The only thing that has changed since then about the gemstones is that in 2002 Tanzanite was added to December as a birthstone, which is a purplish blue color but like some of the birthstones for each month, they can have more than one.
